Internationally acclaimed Reggae artiste, Miguel Orlando Collins, more popularly known as Sizzla is reportedly conscious following a motor cycle crash involving the artiste in St. Ann last night.
At around 8:30pm Jamaican time, Sizzla was riding his friend’s bike along the Salem main road near Runaway Bay in the St. Ann; reportedly riding 95mph in a 55mph zone. Sizzla then lost control of the bike & collided with a bus near the popular Jerky’s restaurant in the area. The “Solid as a Rock” singer was reportedly not wearing his helmet whilst riding his motor cycle.
A member of Sizzla’s camp confirmed that Sizzla was conscious in hospital but could not go into full detail regarding the artiste’s injuries. It was reported last night that Sizzla suffered a broken collarbone, finger, amongst other injuries in the crash & was in serious but stable condition.
Sizzla is scheduled to tour Japan, Brazil & Guyana amongst other Caribbean nations as well as the continent of Africa over the next few months to promote his new album, The Scriptures. The Scriptures is the 65th different album released by Sizzla. The artiste is also known for classic songs such as “Solid As A Rock,” “Good Ways,” Thank You Mama,” Praise Ye Jah,” “Dry Cry,” amongst several others. His more recent releases include the singles, “Burn Dem Schism” & “Buss It” on ZJ Ice’s Centre Stage Riddim released last month.
